Volunteer Types

Committee- based volunteer opportunities may change according to the needs of the organization. The committee leader will assign tasks for the committee members to complete based on the overarching goal of the committee. Volunteers interested in joining a committee are expected to attend committee meetings. This is a long-term volunteer assignment and requires a more dedicated time commitment.

Anyone 18 years old and over.

• Communicate well and in a timely manner
• Be committed to the vision of the committee leader
• Be willing to attend committee meetings
• Be able to adhere satisfactorily to Urban Indigo's mission and vision

These volunteers are a vital part of the organization but may only be able to designate a shorter time frame of commitment to Urban Indigo. An events-based volunteer can volunteer day off, be available to complete tasks leading up to the day of the event, or all of the above. It is dependent on their availability.
