Urban Indigo Foundation has truly been a blessing to our family in ways that words can hardly express. As parents of two severely disabled children, stepping outside our comfort zones has always been a challenge. We constantly worry about sensory overload, public perception, and the ignorance that often surrounds children with special needs. These fears have kept us isolated, preventing us from enjoying time together as a couple and as a family.

Living in Georgia without any family or friends for support, compounded by the fact that my husband and I are both prior military, has made it even more difficult. Unlike most people we know, we don’t have the village that many rely on. But Urban Indigo Foundation has changed that for us.

This incredible organization has not only encouraged us to venture out but has also given us the courage to do so with pride. Through their generosity and unwavering commitment to inclusion, we have been able to participate in community events that we never thought possible. The owner’s compassionate heart and dedication to embracing diversity have allowed our children to experience the world without fear of judgment or rejection.

By offering us the opportunity to attend events free of charge, Urban Indigo Foundation has given our family the gift of belonging. We are no longer confined to the walls of our home, feeling isolated and misunderstood. Instead, we are part of a community that understands, accepts, and celebrates our children just as they are.

From the bottom of our hearts, we are eternally grateful for Urban Indigo Foundation and the network of support it has provided. Thank you for helping our family feel accepted, included, and no longer sheltered.
